SUMMARY:8th Annual Hearts for Homes Dinner and Auction
DESCRIPTION:We are asking for your support for the 8th Annual “Hearts for Homes” Dinner and Auction\, which we will be hosting Friday\, March 24\, 2017. The purpose of the “Hearts for Homes” Auction is to generate funds to support our Home Building Program and A Brush with Kindness\, our home repair program. Our goal this year is to raise $75\,000. This will only be possible with the help of generous area businesses and individuals like yourself who share a passion for our mission. We wish to thank you in advance for your continued support. \nHabitat for Humanity of North Idaho is a nonprofit\, ecumenical Christian housing organization focused on building and preserving simple\, decent affordable homes in partnership with families in need. We keep homes affordable through the use of donated time\, materials\, and money. Homeowners purchase their homes with a no-interest loan. \nHabitat has helped more than 6.8 million people worldwide with improved living conditions since 1976. More than 1 million new homes have been built in 70 countries. Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho will complete the 41st new home in Kootenai County this year. Through our newest program\, “A Brush with Kindness”\, we have expanded our Housing Program to include exterior home repairs\, weatherization\, and preservation. Families who have repairs done repay the costs for materials\, again at no interest. To date\, we have completed over 113 repairs with this program. This enables more families to live in secure homes in our county.
