DESCRIPTION:RELAY FOR LIFE OF ADA COUNTY CANCER WALK\nCancer is the number 1 disease-specific cause for death in the state of Idaho with 7\,000 new cases and almost 12\,000 cancer-related deaths each year. \nRelay For Life is American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser led by volunteers right here in Ada County for our community. This year\, we want to give our heartfelt thanks to our presenting sponsor\, the Boise Hawks. We couldn’t do this without you! \nAt Relay\, we CELEBRATE lives saved from cancer and the efforts our community has made against cancer\, REMEMBER loved ones we’ve lost to cancer and FIGHT BACK by raising cancer awareness in our community and fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s efforts in cancer research and programs and services for cancer patients and their families like free rides to treatment\, free or discounted lodging for treatment far from home\, the 24/7 cancer help line toll-free number 1-800-227-2345 and so much more. \nThis is a family-friendly community event.
