SUMMARY:Boise—Make Art + Celebrate the Boise River
DESCRIPTION:Wingtip Press\, the City of Boise and Idaho Conservation League have partnered up to celebrate our love for the Boise River. \nThis collaborative effort is directed by artist Amy Nack\, founder of Wingtip Press and sponsored through a grant from Boise City Arts & History Department. \nPRINT BOISE RIVER participants will carve fish\, water images\, birds and trees\, adhere them to the bottom of flip flops and “walk” their image along a 150′ feet of paper. Each participant becomes a public artist when the mural is displayed during Boise’s First Thursday event in August. \nLana Weber\, ICL’s Community Engagement Coordinator will join art makers to talk about the rivers contribution to our way of life in Boise as we create a personal reflection through art. \nThe event will host two 1.5 hour sessions at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
